I’m going to write less, but better.
How writing every day has impacted the quality of my work.
Halfway through November, I decided to give Medium a fair amount of attention. I had a lot of work that I could repurpose that I was happy with, and in between these, I could brainstorm and come up with some (hopefully) interesting new takes. There are plenty of articles on Medium itself saying that you need to publish every single day to get anywhere. Because of this, I planned on writing a minimum of four articles a week; more if I had a bit more free time.
I currently freelance write and edit. It’s already what I do for my bread and butter. Modest bread and butter, mind you, but it keeps the lights on and food on the table. And most of the projects are relatively interesting too. It’s just that they are not necessarily exactly what I would choose to write about, so I thought Medium would be a good place to indulge myself and learn to hone my creative skills.
I spent the next two and half weeks following my plan. My followers increased marginally, but that was not my focus initially. My focus was two-fold;
