I was/am a freelancer so years but now in addition to it have a day job. It’s easier for me to have variety in what I write so I can box each job off. Medium is where I write on what I want exactly. I divide my week up as well according to what pays the most so Medium gets 10% of time max. I write during the week for this when I’m out and about in a notebook and then spend half a day each week writing pieces up and scheduling them out relatively consistently. My normal job takes 37 hours. Then I have my other side jobs/freelancing that I take on a projects with definitive ends. Whatever I did I had to block out time for each task.
