I thought the point of all those articles about men finding it harder to find relationships was that women aren’t as tied to concept of getting married now? I get that the smug married women are a thing but there are plenty of unmarried women who don’t want to get married because they have more independence and don’t want to deal with emotional immaturity and gender based expectations. I know more traditional society expectations look down on single people but I don’t think that’s what those articles were pointing to.
