I get what you’re saying about the measurable metric which is measurable in online dating but I was pointing out in the article that you’re less likely to be successful with minimal effort in a bio. Also I did point out that online dating applies a stricter set of criteria and boxes that people want ticked. That doesn’t necessarily apply in real life. I can’t think of a single woman i know that is really rigid about what she wants in a partner. Or if they are partnered they are with people you wouldn’t put together. I think in real life it’s more objective. So in real life it’s hard to quantify exactly what the top 10% is .

Also, it would be interesting to investigate whether the men successful on apps actually end up getting dates and relationships from them - because I have a feeling nobody uses them really for anything than a one night stand anymore.
