I don’t think super hero/anti-hero films are actually trash. There are so many fantastic ones out there. However, studios have been churning them out with big budgets and lots of CGI and the majority of the mainstream ones are instantly forgettable. They might be flashy and have a bit of humour but I think a lot of them (not all) lack substance. I’m thinking mostly about the Marvel ones to be honest.
